Barbara

Barbara Connolly has been counseling students and families in the college and graduate school admissions process for more than 20 years. She was an admissions reader at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business. She is a Certified Educational Planner (CEP) and a professional member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA). She has been a syndicated newspaper columnist on the subject of college admissions. She has appeared as an expert on numerous television news programs and her TEDx talk on YouTube has garnered nearly one and a half million views. She is also an attorney. Her skills as a lawyer are fully utilized as she helps students advocate for themselves in the competitive college admissions process. In addition, Barbara and her husband are the parents of four children. All of Barbara's children were admitted to Ivy League and other selective colleges. Her experience as a parent has been a tremendous benefit to the families who have worked with College Choice Counseling. Barbara holds a BGS from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Detroit School of Law.
